The CCM® will come with four-high stands and proven CVC® plus roll shifting technology. In combination with positive and negative work roll bending and one X-Shape flatness measurement roll on the entry and one on the exit side, ASML will be able to produce the required strip qualities in widths ranging from 650 to 1,250 millimeters and minimum final gages down to 0.15 millimeters. Combined with the multizone cooling system, the customer will in the future have at his disposal the full range of features for strip flatness. High mill productivity will be provided among others by equipment for fast work roll change.
SMS group is going to supply the complete electrical and automation systems from a single source. The scope of the X-Pact® automation package will comprise both level 1 and level 2 and the latest of measurement instrumentation for thickness and flatness control.
Also included in SMS group’s supply scope are auxiliary facilities such as an emulsion plant, high and low pressure hydraulics as well as the fume exhaust system.
This mill, which is going to be the third CCM® supplied by SMS to Pakistan, is scheduled to start operation in early 2019.
