Solarlite GmbH has been selected as a finalist because of the revolutionizing idea to produce parabolic troughs made out of composite materials with high precision for mass-production and secondly with the ability to generate direct steam in place of evaporating thermal oil. This concept is more environmentally friendly and allows significant reductions of the total investment costs and levelized electricity cost.
The Awards Ceremony has been organized by CSP Today in conjunction with the 4th International Concentrated Solar Power Summit, which will take place in Sevilla from the 15-17 of November with over 700 attendees. The finalists will be selected by a key speaker vote taking place on the first day of the event and will be handed to the winners in a Ceremony in the evening of Tuesday 16th of November. Over 700 people will get together in Sevilla next month to network & discuss with other experts of the CSP industry. More than 50 top level speakers are due to speak at the event, including senior executives from ACS Cobra, Acciona, Abengoa, AREVA, Siemens, BrightSource Energy, Torresol, Dii, Abener, CIEMAT-PSA, Flagsol, ENEL, Cargo Power and other leading developers and EPCs in the CSP industry.
