DDA stands for a new DSP generation and input boards that can process a variety of signals: DANTE, Digital AES/EBU, AES67 and analog inputs. The signals can be looped through. The technology is used in the new system amplifiers of the HDSP-DDA series as well as in all self-powered DDA loudspeakers. Voice-Acoustic uses identical power and DSP electronics in the 19" rack amplifiers and the self-powered loudspeakers, so that users can combine different systems and manage them within the network via the remote control software. This is a great advantage for compatibility of systems between rental companies. The HDSP-DDA system amplifiers are designed in dual technology and feature complete redundancy and double operational reliability thanks to two power supply units, two DSP boards and two Class-D sections. In addition, the electronics are suspended upside-down so that no dust can settle on the boards.
The power electronics of the Voice-Acoustic self-powered loudspeakers are maintenance-free and encapsulated. The external low-noise fan is flush mounted into the heatsink and circulates the air without being connected to the inside of the loudspeaker cabinet. This prevents dust or moisture from reaching the amplifier module. The new DSPs have FIR filters in addition to IIR.
Voice-Acoustic founder and managing director Stefan Rast is very satisfied with the results of this year's fair: "prolight+sound 2019 exceeded our expectations. We were able to generate almost twice as many new contacts as in the previous year. Our 9-person booth team had a lot to do. The evaluation of the contacts also shows, however, that the Frankfurt trade fair has lost much of its international significance. The number of foreign visitors has declined and it has meanwhile become more of a regional industry meeting. What's not bad is that the market on your doorstep has a lot to offer and a lot of potential. But Messe Frankfurt will no longer be able to generate so many potential new sales partners abroad. This certainly has to do with the growing success of other trade fairs such as ISE or NAMM and also with the high, and even surplus of trade fairs worldwide. For someone who can visit a large trade fair in their own country a few weeks before or after prolight+sound Frankfurt, there is no longer any reason to fly around the world to visit a trade fair in Germany. For small manufacturers who don't have the resources to take part in several trade fairs in a row worldwide, this makes it harder for them to position themselves internationally. These companies have to find new ways to reach potential customers abroad".
