The standard version can be adjusted to the corporate design of each client, as colors, pictures, logos and backgrounds are individually customizable. The menu and content are available in all common languages, which makes Business Gaming not only suitable for the German speaking world, but for the international market as well.
Features
The app contains a great variety of features, that make learning more efficient and entertaining. Apart from quizzes with text or picture questions, it includes case studies, as well, in order to train more complex situations. These methods make use of the so called “testing effect”, which allows new content to be saved in the long-term memory better. Each question is linked to the relevant knowledge article, so that missing knowledge can be learned immediately.
Explanatory videos and podcasts can be added to this knowledge portal. With the according flashcards learning content can easily be revised, just like in a common flashcard system. Furthermore, the app has access to laws and legislations of the Federal Ministry, that are synchronized every day. The other content is synchronized when opening the app.
Content Management System
With the user-friendly author tool CMS it is possible for the client himself to create new questions, write flashcards or articles and upload videos or podcasts. Thus, it is possible to quickly create new learning worlds or update existing content, so that being up-to-date just takes a few minutes.
Gamification
Personal statistics, that show the learning progress, support the learning transfer and the controlling of the learning success. Through highscores the learner can compete with others or show his score in the highscore list. Players are free to decide, whether they want to show their success or learn hidden.
Mini games help to increase the intrinsic motivation of the learner. Players gain points by learning and can exchange the points to a fictional currency afterwards. Later the player can invest this currency in mini games or business simulations.
Monitoring
Active learning times and progress are always documented, no matter if the player is answering quiz questions or reading flashcards. The management, however, only has access to aggregated data, whereas the learner can see his personal learning statistics.
Since 2016 employees working in the administration of insurance contracts, in particular in the claims section, have to regularly further their education 15 hours a year. According to the guidelines of the Bafin and of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) learning with quiz questions or flashcards is counted as active learning time. This active learning time is then credited to the personal learning time account.
The Business Gaming app will be shown at the Learntec 2019 at the straightlabs stand (hall 2, stand M29).
