Nuclear technologies - good for the climate and more

Nuclear technologies are used in agriculture and food and passed on to farmers.

(PresseBox) (Herisau, )
To get the best out of soil, water and crops, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is developing techniques using nuclear technology. According to the IAEA, it wants to accelerate and increase the contribution of nuclear energy to peace, health and prosperity worldwide. For example, cotton seeds are irradiated, and new varieties are developed that are more resistant to disease, heat or drought. In so-called plant mutation breeding, no genes are changed, but spontaneous mutation is imitated and used.

Today, for example, more than 40 percent of cotton growing areas in Pakistan benefit from the new varieties. These are better adapted to climate change. Something similar also works with plants that are used for food. In order to improve the global food supply, fertilizers are used in addition to the most efficient seeds possible. Since the Russia-Ukraine war, there has been uncertainty as to whether the supply of fertilizer, especially potash, is always guaranteed. However, potash is not only available in Russia and Belarus, but also in Africa, for example in the Banio potash project in Gabon.

Millennial Potash - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/millennial-potash-corp/ - works there, and the conditions in terms of costs and acceptance are good.

Speaking of climate change, many countries and many people have understood that nuclear technology, and therefore nuclear energy, is helpful in the fight against climate change. This is demonstrated by the fact that new countries are turning to nuclear power, as well as the large-scale construction and planning activities almost worldwide. Therefore, uranium, which has also risen significantly in price for some time now, will be in increasing demand. Uranium companies will therefore have no problem selling their uranium.

Cosa Resources - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/cosa-resources-corp/ - is one of these uranium companies. With the uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Cosa Resources is located in particularly good territory, namely in an area famous for its uranium wealth.
