Die Lösung beinhaltet ein 90-tägiges Abonnement für die Symantec Updates: Über LiveUpdate erfolgen Aktualisierungen wie notwendige Virensignaturen und Programmupdates in diesem Zeitraum automatisch, sobald der Anwender online ist. Nach Ablauf der 90 Tage kann der Nutzer das Abonnement auf 12 Monate verlängern. Derzeit steht die Sicherheitslösung auf der Intel Fachhändler-Webseite zur Verfügung. In Zukunft wird sie als Teil der Applikations-CD zusammen mit sämtlichen Intel Motherboards weltweit ausgeliefert.

Intel Kunden erhalten für den sicheren Umgang mit dem Internet alle notwendigen Funktionen in einer einzigen, nutzerfreundlichen Lösung: Norton Internet Security 2005 AntiSpyware Edition bietet Schutz vor Schadprogrammen wie Viren, Würmern und Trojaner, verhindert E-Mail-Betrug, den Zugriff von Hackern auf den Rechner und schützt vertrauliche Informationen. Das Softwarepaket umfasst Virenscanner, Firewall, Spamfilter mit Phishingschutz, sowie eine Kindersicherung. Zudem ist eine Spyware-Erkennung integriert: Diese unterscheidet zwischen Spyware- und Adwareprogrammen mit hohem, mäßigem und geringem Sicherheitsrisiko. Das verhindert, dass Programme, die vom Anwender ausdrücklich erwünscht oder geduldet sind, ebenfalls gelöscht werden.
