Until June 30th European companies and organizations can apply for the TeleTrusT Innovation Award 2008. TeleTrusT awards the renowned prize annually at the conference “Information Security Solutions Europe- ISSE“, at which IT-security experts from all over the world assemble in Madrid this year. In 2008 ISSE takes place for the 10th time.
TeleTrusT calls for applications for the Innovation Award 2008: The renowned prize is awarded annually to European companies that have developed or apply innovative and trustworthy information technology, software or online services for electronic business applications in commerce and administration. Therewith the leading role they play in the diffusion of applications with integrated security is honored.
Important criteria for the awarding of the prize are the transparency of the security functions and their user friendliness, the interoperability of the process components as well as the economic orientation of the solution. An important advantage for applicants is the Europe-wide scope of the solution. The laureate will be nominated by the TeleTrusT board on the basis of rankings given by an international jury and will be awarded at the international conference “Information Security Solutions Europe – ISSE 2008” in front of the assembled expert community. ISSE 2008 will take place 7 to 9 October in Madrid.
“The award is an effective means for TeleTrusT to make interoperable solutions public that are trustworthy and therefore support the information and communication technologies“, Günther Welsch, managing director of TeleTrusT, points out. “The simple application form can be downloaded from the TeleTrusT website at www.teletrust.de/... and is filled in quickly.” Deadline for submissions is 30 June 2008.
Last year the platform „TrustedX“ by Safelayer Secure Communications S.A. Barcelona received the award. Laureates of previous years were Deutsche Sparkassenverlag DSV for the first bank card with digital signature, the Deutsche Genossenschafts-Verlag (DG Verlag) from Wiesbaden, the regional tax office (OFD) Munich for the implementation of the electronic tax computation ELSTER as well as T-Systems and T-Mobile for their authentication system with one time password via cell phone.
