1st March 2022, the data science team at Tentamus Group is working with OpenCV and Luxonis to collaborate on developing customized pipelines for computer vision tasks in TIC industry. This partnership was proposed by Tentamus Group after successful implementation of several experiments using OpenCV AI Kit in two innovative products by data science team.
The OpenCV AI Kit (OAK) is a series of high resolution, small, and AI enabled cameras which can implement state-of-the-art algorithms in computer vision on its small processor, making it independent of high-performance expensive computers and thus, a suitable 4K video input unit for small devices. OAK is open source in hardware and software that means it can be completely customized for any project. Some models have built-in WiFi and Bluetooth and can act as IoT device.
The data science team at Tentamus aims to design and develop 4 products based on OAK cameras by the end of 2022. The team also actively encourages employing OAK cameras in TIC industry and welcomes ideas and collaborative projects coming from other TIC labs.
“The challenges we faced in our projects differ from those addressed already by OAK team and thus, working together with OAK team allows us to achieve even better results for our customers and success for our company”, says Dr. Sina Alizadeh, Product Manager at Tentamus Group. “Collaborating with OpenCV and Luxonis means access to the source of knowledge in computer vision.” Since 2019, Tentamus has established a data science team to provide data analysis, artificial intelligence, and computer vision services for its labs. The team today consists of several data scientists, app developers, and engineers who are committed to bringing innovation to Tentamus.
