Precision parts for a diverse range of industries
Multi-axis technology and angle heads are used to create precision parts for a wide range of industries, above all for the aerospace and semiconductor sectors. Virtually all materials can be processed thanks to systems such as the Mazak turn/mill machine. The INTEGREX i-200ST is a multi-function, versatile machine. It can hold more tools, increasing its performance over comparable systems. The machine combines modern technology with environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. This is why toolcraft has invested in a second, identical turn/mill machine.
Additional turn/mill machines
To meet customer requirements even more effectively, the company has also purchased a Mazak INTEGREX j-200S. The multi-function machine has 36 tool holders and a milling spindle with high torque. A Hermle C42 U MT was also added to the pool of machinery. This 5-axis turn/mill machine is used for complex, thin-walled housing components in the aviation sector. The paths of movements are optimally adjusted to the size of the workpiece. With over 130 tool holders, it meets the highest precision requirements as well as demands for very low tolerances.
Complexity knows no limits
The new turn/mill machines can produce even the most complex parts. As parts are completely processed on just one machine, set-up times are reduced to a minimum – another step towards series production. The fully integrated process saves time and money, thus not only boosting productivity, but also accelerating processing times. Following production, the parts are checked visually and tactilely and then qualified to NADCAP using non-destructive surface testing. This allows toolcraft to create high-quality precision parts.
