Coveted award for growth and innovation
The award "Bayerns Best 50" honours medium-sized companies which help to secure Bavaria's high standard of living. The winning businesses have all been able to achieve above-average increases in their workforce and their turnover over the last few years. Recognition is also given to in-house training as a key element of company growth and long-term commercial success. In this context, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology also presented a special prize for outstanding commitment to company-based training.
The 50 best companies in Bavaria
Alongside Toolcraft, a further 49 companies are celebrating their inclusion in the list of the 50 best companies in Bavaria. "We are investing in the consistent implementation of Industry 4.0. As part of this commitment, we are focusing on new technologies and areas such as 3D metal printing and robotics. Both areas are huge growth markets," explained Bernd Krebs, founder and owner of Toolcraft. "It is primarily through our confidence in our employees and the creation of the necessary scope for development that we and our staff are able to achieve this in practice. As a result, every area of the business has the right staff, who are focussed on innovation and on driving our achievements further," continued Christoph Hauck, Managing Director since 2012.
Exceptional growth – staff and innovations as success factors
Since being founded by Bernd Krebs in 1989, Toolcraft has been following a consistent strategy of growth through innovation, the constant expansion of its range of products and services, and the highest product quality. Today, the original plant in Georgensgmünd and the mould making plant in Spalt employ around 300 members of staff in total. The company strongly believes in training young talent and all former trainees have been given permanent jobs in their relevant specialist areas. Toolcraft has also specialised in putting innovations and ideas into practice. The company makes use of a variety of new technologies within its own business. It uses its network of other high-tech companies to support its comprehensive know-how management system.
