(PresseBox) (Weinheim, )
Uwe Brosius (51) and Markus O’Sullivan (45) have been appointed Managing Directors of trans-o-flex ThermoMed. The trans-o-flex Logistics Group’s subsidiary focuses on operating the only nationwide network for the actively temperature-controlled transportation of pharmaceuticals in Germany as well as, in co-operation with subsidiaries and partners, seven other European countries. At trans-o-flex ThermoMed, Uwe Brosius is going to take over the responsibility for Operations, Forwarding and Personnel, Markus O’Sullivan for the areas of Sales, Quality Management and Internationalisation. Furthermore, O’Sullivan will assume responsibility for the entire pharmaceutical sales of the trans-o-flex Group. Both report to Oliver Rupps, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the trans-o-flex Logistics Group. “With the appointment of Uwe Brosius and Markus O’Sullivan to the Management Board of trans-o-flex ThermoMed, we want to send a clear sign of continuity”, explains Rupps. “Through the bundling of responsibility for the pharmaceutical sales of our Group, we want to reflect the importance trans-o-flex allocates to the pharmaceutical industry.”

Uwe Brosius has been working for trans-o-flex ThermoMed since July 2007 – first as assistant of the company’s management and, later on, as Manager Operations. Before joining ThermoMed, the graduate in business administration worked for trans-o-flex’s system partner B.O.S., where he was responsible for controlling for more than two years. Before that, he spent over eleven years gaining experience in various managerial functions at a large parcel service in the areas of Controlling, Fleet Management and Quality Assurance.

Markus O’Sullivan assumed the management of the trans-o-flex Group’s newly established Pharma competence centre on 1st October 2012 and will hold this position within the scope of responsibility for pharmaceutical sales and in addition to his new management tasks at ThermoMed. In its competence centre, the trans-o-flex Group bundles its trade knowhow for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries across all of its business areas. In co-operation with customers and external specialists, the competence centre develops innovative solutions that are tailored to the specific requirements associated with pharmaceutical logistic services. Markus O’Sullivan came from the Dutch Internet pharmacy DocMorris, where he held the position of Director Business Development for six years. Before that, he spent seven years working in various functions at the pharmaceutical companies Merckle and ratiopharm. The holder of a diploma in business studies was born in Bonn and, following his study of business economics in Saarbrücken and Lyon, completed a one-year postgraduate course as a Master in Law and Economics in Hamburg, Gent and Oxford.
