TXT received their first CMMI appraisal in 2007 and have successfully validated their approach as the maturity model evolved: "We are proud to have been one of the first companies worldwide, and probably the first in Italy, to be successfully evaluated with the new CMMI V2.0 model," says Flavio Fusetti, Senior Vice President at TXT e-solutions. "Our customers trust us with their business- and mission-critical processes, so quality assurance has always been a top priority."
CMMI V2.0 has introduced a set of best practices that are effectively in line with TXT company policy, particularly concerning the adoption of Agile methodology in software development. Agile techniques are widely employed across the company and its subsidiaries, not only in the CMMI-reviewed development of software products and mobile apps, but also in other, Automotive SPICE-compliant, projects. TXT also holds other key certifications including ISO EN 9100:2018 for aerospace activities.
CMMI is a global standard for industry best practices, whose maturity levels allow customers to benchmark potential suppliers. Maturity level 3 certifies that the appraised TXT divisions are performing at a defined level, using well-documented and communicated procedures, tools and methods.
