The series of Industrial Ethernet Switches for Fast and Gigabit Ethernet with protection class IP65 and IP67 fulfills the special requirements of data communications in rough industrial environments in unprotected areas.
In particular, the robust metal case and the high protection class IP65 and IP67 in combination with -40°C..+70°C temperature range allows operation under extreme conditions.
In addition to copper connections, one or two multimode, singlemode or BiDi fiber optic ports are available.
The copper data wires (Ethernet and RS-232 management port) are connected with M12 connectors. The operating power with M23 connector.
To avoid additional power cabling the PD (Powered Device) variants may alternatively be powered using Power over Ethernet according to IEEE 802.3af standard.
To provide operating current for cameras, access points, IP phones or other devices via the data line PoE endspan variants have 8 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports with up to 30W per port according to IEEE 802.3af / IEEE 802.3at standard.
A powerful managed operating system with 9.6KBytes Jumbo Frames, IGMP snooping, Spanning Tree protocol, VLAN, QoS, authentication and packet storm control enables optimized data flow and data security.
