Emergency Heroes wurde entwickelt, um den Spaß und die Spannung eines Rennspiels zu vermitteln, das den Erwartungen und dem Können eines Heranwachsenden im Alter von sechs bis zehn Jahren entspricht. Die freibefahrbare Stadt vermittelt dem Spieler das Gefühl völliger Freiheit - dennoch bleibt das eigentliche Ziel ständig klar vor Augen. Ein ausgefeiltes GPS-System führt den Spieler sicher durch die Straßen, so dass dieser sich nie verfahren wird.

- Eine freibefahrbare Stadt: Der Spieler fährt durch San Alto, eine futuristische Stadt, erbaut aus Glas und Stahl.
- 48 hochmoderne Fahrzeuge: Der Spieler kann 48 hochmoderne Fahrzeuge kontrollieren, die speziell für gefährliche und schnelle Einsätze konzipiert wurden. Je schneller er im Helden-Modus fährt, desto eher erhält er Zugang zu den Unbesiegbarkeits-Fähigkeiten.
