The new PICK@EASE workstation family enables a proven sustainable high operator performance thanks to ergonomic design principles which were applied right from the start of development. Objective was to design workstations which measurably improve operator performance, decrease risk of work-related injury, illness and operator discomfort and therefore improve the quality of work life. The high performance workstation has been developed in close cooperation with Dutch research institute TNO. TNO researched the actual product on its ergonomic merits during a series of real-life operator tests held at Vanderlande Industries' Innovation Centre in Veghel. The German TÜV has now validated TNO's assessment and certified the ergonomics claims and sustainable performance. The high performance workstation delivers a proven sustainable performance of 900 order lines and 1,200 items per hour.
With the PICK@EASE workstation family, Vanderlande Industries supports customers, who are looking for warehousing and distribution solutions which reduce costs, improve efficiency and customer service levels, and virtually eliminate work-related injuries to operators. The new PICK@EASE workstation family is a key component of Vanderlande Industries' Compact Picking System (CPS), a high-performance goods-to-man order fulfillment system.
