At the warm-up event for the agricultural technology exhibition AGRITECHNICA, experts will discuss the significance of the co-operation between suppliers and producers along the entire agricultural production chain. In an introductory lecture, Jane Rickson from the National Soil Resources Institute, UK, will emphasise the significance of agricultural technology for world nutrition. The plenary lecture by Wolfgang Runge, Runge-Consult, will concentrate on innovative electronics in automotive engineering. In her keynote lecture, Catharina Claas-Mühlhäuser will look back on 100 years of successful agricultural engineering development in the Claas family company.
In 75 contributions from the industry and research partners, experts will present current developments and research on chassis, hydraulic and diesel electric applications in tractors and agricultural machinery as well as electronics and data management. They will also discuss new technical solutions for working with soils, planting seeds and harvesting produce. Questions like which applications can be automated with the help of sensors and field robots and the possibilities of managing farms more efficiently will also be considered at the conference.
With the support of the sponsorship of the VDI Max Eyth Society for Agricultural Engineering (VDI-MEG) and the European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng), the conference has developed into a leading international event in the agricultural technology calendar.
