Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Award – W2E was decorated with the Finalist Award 2009
The annual competition for the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Award given by the Os-kar-Patzelt-Foundation has become the most important German contest among small and me-dium-sized businesses since the first prize was awarded in 1995.
In 2009, 3366 German companies and businesspeople were nominated for this prestig-ious award.
For the second time W2E Wind to Energy GmbH was one of 1028 companies to achieve the 2nd Stage of the 2009 competition, awarded at the Fifteenth Annual Oskar Patzelt Founda-tion Award Ceremony.
At this year’s gala in Magdeburg W2E was decorated with the Finalist Award 2009.
The jury awarded the company for its business development, for creating new jobs and for its innovative strength. In addition, W2E was prised for its superior customer relations and ex-cellent marketing. Furthermore W2E engages for social projects as well as for school and sport projects in its home region.
Since the establishment of W2E in 2003 the number of employees was multiplied from six to 25. Licensees of W2E are the Fuhrländer AG, the EVIAG AG as well as the Chinese compa-nies A-POWER and Baoding Huide Windpower. In 2010 W2E will start with the design of the forth turbine generation in a range of 3 MW.
