FrontCom® Vario from Weidmüller offers protected service interfaces on switch cabinets which allow a range of different service tasks to be performed during ongoing operation and effectively increase the availability and productivity of plants. FrontCom® Vario service interfaces guarantee technicians quick and safe access to the controller in the cabinet at all times, which obviates the need for specially authorised technical personnel. At the same time, FrontCom® Vario drastically reduces the risk of misuse or accidents.
FrontCom® Vario interfaces have a compact design, are easy to install and can be assembled flexibly. There are different data, signal and power modules plus several attractive housing designs available, so you can choose a solution that suits your specific requirements. Weidmüller has now expanded the existing product range to include various new inserts such as VGA, HDMI and additional sockets. There is also the option of ordering pre-defined sets.
The new FrontCom® Vario inserts allow efficient and flexible access to plants and processes: orange power inserts for Germany, HDMI, HD15/VGA signal inserts and D-Sub signal inserts (9 and 25 pole). There are also new insert boards - 1 x power, 1 x 3A fuse, 1 x data and, last but not least, Australian power inserts and RCBO power insert (Residual current operated Circuit-Breaker with Overcurrent protection).
Thanks to its impressive product characteristics, FrontCom® Vario is a really safe, quick and future-oriented solution. Maintenance and optimisation processes on your plants can be performed much more efficiently and therefore more cost-effectively. The real highlight: Compared to conventional service interfaces, FrontCom® Vario combines several functions in just one single frame, so it only takes up half the space.
There is an option to order the following pre-defined sets: firstly a 2 x data 1 x power DE insert board with a plastic cover, shielded, with USB 2.0 A/A data inserts, Cat 6A RJ45 connection and power insert socket DE. The second set is 2x data 1x power MC, metal lockable cover, shielded, with 2 x RJ45 coupling Cat.6A data inserts and multi-contact power insert socket for EU, US, CN, GB, IND. The following set is available both shielded and unshielded: 2x data, 1x power with lockable plastic lid, with USB 2.0 A/A data inserts, RJ45 Cat.6A connection and Socket DE power insert.
RJ45 inserts pursuant to the latest Cat.6A standard guarantee the best transmission characteristics and future-proof data transmission. They can achieve high data transmission rates of up to 10 GBit/s. The new convenient and modular FrontCom® Vario is an addition to the successful FrontCom® Micro service interface. These are also now available with USB 3.0 coupling.
FrontCom® Vario from Weidmüller is synonymous with a modular design and unique flexibility with more than 5,000 possible combinations. There are variants with covers made of plastic or robust metal for harsh environments. When sealed, all the variants are designed as IP65 products and 100% compliant with the market standard. The large marking surface on the cover allows correct identification of the equipment and good legibility. The optional touch-safe protection on the inside offers additional marking options for any interface and facilitates clear assignment.
