Weidmüller’s connectPower: single and three-phase primary switch mode power supply units add reliability to your power supply.

(PresseBox) (Detmold, )
Weidmüller's connectPower range of single and three-phase primary switch mode power supply units deliver 25-1000 W of power and are equipped with an electronic short-circuit control on the output side. These power supply units are suitable for deployment in industrial and building automation applications. All devices are interference suppressed (in accordance with DIN EN 55022 Class B) and fulfil safety extra-low voltage (SELV) requirements.

High levels of efficiency as well as compact dimensions and moderate heat generation are distinguishing features of primary switch-mode power supplies. Weidmüller has single and three-phase primary switch-mode power supply units on offer in versions from 25 W to 1000 W. Their first-class price/performance ratio is a compelling benefit.

Depending on the model, the input voltage of the single and three-phase connectPower switch-mode power supplies is 115/230 V AC or 3 x 400 V AC. Under maximum load the units achieve efficiency ratings of up to 88 percent. They reduce harmonic currents through Power Factor Correction (PFC). In addition to this, the primary switch mode units are equipped with an integrated diagnostics and status output. An optional signalling contact is implemented as a changeover contact. Each device output is short-circuit proof by design. The 24 VDC output voltage can be adjusted via a potentiometer across a range of 24-28 VDC. The output is electronically limited to between 105-130 percent.

The units can easily be operated in parallel to increase power capacity or for redundancy purposes. In this case, a special diode module from the connectPower range is advisable for the modules CP SNT 70 W to CP SNT3 500. Both switch-mode power supply units operate in parallel with the diode module and share the power drawn by the load. If one of the units should fail, the second unit provides the full amount of power required. The diode module decouples the two units 100 percent; that means that neither of the units can negatively affect the other if a fault occurs.

A green LED indicator signalises that the unit is operational. The more powerful versions are enclosed in a metal housing for more challenging conditions. CP SNT switch-mode power supply units operate reliably without derating between -10°C and +55°C. The silicone-free units are designed to be mounted horizontally onto TS 35 mounting rails - no tools needed. The CE symbol and UL approvals underline their suitability for applications across the globe.
