axenia value: Stainless-steel actuators for hygienic applications
The single-cable servo actuators in WITTENSTEIN alpha’s axenia value series combine precision with a hygienic design and maximum power density. The high performance motor and the planetary gearbox form a durable and resistant unit: they are accommodated in a stainless steel housing with IP69K protection – with a space-saving, coupling-free connection – and perfectly matched to ensure measurable, robust performance data of the best possible quality.
The complete system was designed strictly in compliance with EHEDG and is therefore predestined for use in sterile and wet areas. The axenia value provides exceptional process security and product safety in this kind of environment because the actuator can be assembled and operated as an open unit, that is without additional hoods or covers. This avoids the otherwise not inconceivable risks of hidden corners where dirt, corrosion or leaks could go unnoticed.
Thanks to the UL approval for North America and the DFC certification which is necessary to meet labeling requirements in China, the Hygienic Design actuator is suitable for worldwide use.
cyber® kit line: Frameless servo motors now also in “large”
No motor frame and no bearing, yet they set benchmarks in terms of power density and dynamics and come in a large number of configurable variants – these are the hallmarks of the frameless servo motors in the cyber® kit line. The already established cyber® kit line small is now complemented by the more powerful cyber® kit line large – a torque-optimized, backlash-free and integration-friendly motor design with best-in-class performance data. WITTENSTEIN cyber motor will take advantage of sps 2021 to disclose some preliminary information on these new servo motors, which will be available in four sizes from 290 mm to 530 mm as well as in various lengths from 50 mm to 200 mm and with four hollow shaft diameters from 220 mm to 420 mm.
Whereas the cyber® kit line large works with all standard servo drive makes, cyber® kit line small motors are additionally compatible with the compact servo drives in the cyber® simco® drive 2 family. They enable highly dynamic drive applications to be realized with higher output ratings.
Services: Gearboxes with cynapse open up new options
Smart gearboxes with cynapse functionality – in other words, with integrated sensors and an IO-Link interface, backed up by comprehensive services under one roof – will likewise form part of the WITTENSTEIN exhibit at the Nuremberg trade show. Their interaction allows nonconformities in drive and process performance to be measured, recorded and evaluated in good time while the system is in operation. Among other things, continuous performance monitoring makes it possible to detect and avoid product, quality or process defects before they actually occur. With a gearbox design optimized for specific applications and customizable smart services all under one roof, WITTENSTEIN leads the way when it comes to digitalized drive technology for machine and plant construction.
