In addition to the airstream effect, the windshield offers noticeable relief from wind pressure at medium to high speeds - i.e. also at highway speeds. The effect proves to be relaxing and pleasant in the upright riding position typical of the R 18, because you don‘t have to hold on tightly to the handlebars and brace yourself against the wind pressure. The inclination of the windshield can also be adjusted individually.
