This racing windshield was made by Wunderlich for BMW S 1000 RR pilots who clearly have their target in mind: whether they aim for the ideal line of the next curve or the finish line during the race, whether on the road or on the track day. Inspired by the motorsport activities of the RR from the Wunderlich MOTORSPORT team, the Grafschafter have developed a windshield for all RR pilots who value effective wind protection and a stylish look in the style of endurance racing machines.
Wunderlich MOTORSPORT boss and managing director Frank Hoffmann carried out the high-speed riding tests himself:
“Racing has always been part of my life. That is why I not only brought in my experiences from my active time in racing during the development phase of our »ENDURANCE PRO« fairing screen with great pleasure, but also carried out the high-speed test runs with the prototype screens in January 2020 in Almeria personally. As a racer, you always need to trust in your mechanics and in the technology. We therefore tested at Wunderlich all components during development extensively in road tests. This procedure is an integral part of our development philosophy. This is especially true for the RR, which goes at 300 km/h. The high-speed tests showed that our designers and developers had done a great job with their experience. Due to its shape, the »ENDURANCE PRO« offers optimal wind protection even for tall riders and also excellent, neutral riding behavior with a stylish look.“
For optimized aerodynamics, the Wunderlich »ENDURANCE PRO« is pulled further back towards the cockpit. For better wind protection, it is clearly 40 mm higher than the original screen. Whereby the windshield integrates perfectly into the design of the fairing and the line of the RR and looks like one piece.
Five mm windshield thickness ensure mechanical and aerodynamic stability even at the highest speeds. The experience and know-how that Wunderlich has gained in the development and manufacture of motorcycle windshields has also been incorporated into this racing windshield. The high-quality workmanship of the scratch and break-resistant PMMA material can be seen when looking through: Clear view, without distorting optical errors that are irritating. Another hallmark: the hand-polished, rounded edges, which make separate edge protection unnecessary. Wunderlich offers the windshield »ENDURANCE PRO« in transparent or in smoked grey.
The price for both variants is € 119.90*, including the mandatory 5-year warranty, as with all Wunderlich components.
