Die Zarafa Collaboration Platform wird die erweiterten Outlook 2010 Funktionen, wie zum Beispiel die Kalenderfreigabe über die benutzerfreundlichen Outlook 2010 Dialoge, nach Threads sortierte Konversationen, öffentliche Kontaktordner im globalen Adressbuch und die nicht sichtbaren privaten Elemente abbilden können. Öffentliche Ordner werden auch in Outlook 2010 komplett unterstützt.
Dies ist möglich, da Zarafa Entwicklungskapazitäten gebündelt in die native MAPI-Unterstützung für Outlook 2010 investiert hat, und nun als erster Anbieter umfassend verstanden hat, wie auch Outlook 2010 mit allen Funktionen unterstützt werden kann.
Ende Juni wird Zarafa in einer Beta-Version die Unterstützung für die erweiterten Outlook 2010 Funktionen veröffentlichen. Dies geschieht während dem Zarafa SummerCamp, der jährlichen internationalen Partnerund Kundenkonferenz.
Neben Microsoft ist Zarafa der einzige Software-Hersteller, der in seiner Mailserver-Plattform die volle MAPIKompatibilität implementiert hat. Wie bereits vor 3 Jahren mit Outlook 2007 hebt sich Zarafa damit wieder von anderen Open Source und Closed Source Groupware-Anbietern ab.
