The Embraer fleet stands out with its modern design. The jets are twin-engined and have a capacity of about 100 passengers. The aircraft will deliver an enhanced customer experience while reducing overall operating cost associated with the long standing ACMI and charter business for Cologne based WDL Aviation.
WDL Aviation, that is part of the Zeitfracht Group, is based at the airport Cologne/Bonn for more than 40 years. It is a major and leading provider for leasing commercial and private charters. The company also offers sub-services via aircraft, crew, maintenance and insured turnkey solutions.
Walter Böhnke, managing director of WDL Aviation, stated on Monday: “We are happy that we were able to acquire four new Embraer 190 jets to replace our fleet of BAE146 aircrafts. We are convinced that we found aircraft that offer our customers an improved experience on board.” Wolfram Simon-Schröter, managing director of the Zeitfracht Group, adds: “The acquisition perfectly fits to the organic growth strategy of the company that is based on a pronounced focus on our clients.”

WDL Aviation was recently acquired by Zeitfracht Group and is member of the Federal Association of German Airlines (BDF) and the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (Barig).
