"We're very proud of this American award," explains Patrick Cathala, CEO of the AURES Group; "it promotes the international status of our EPOS terminal design and manufacturing work, and confirms the relevance of our design vision and leadership far beyond Europe!"
Awarded annually by a panel of American professionals and experts in this sector, these prizes were given last December for the most innovative designs in many different fields (industrial tools, robotics, vehicles and transport, IT equipment, electronic and medical equipment, furniture, tableware, bathroom and kitchen equipment, sport, lighting, urban planning, fashion accessories and textiles, office equipment, etc.). The panel met in New York and Los Angeles last October, choosing the best designs among 700 products - and graphic designs - from 36 countries.
The Good Design Awards were founded in 1950 by Edgar Kaufmann, curator of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with internationally recognized architects and designers such as Ray Eames, Russell Wright, George Nelson and Eero Saarinen.
Furthermore, AURES' range of sango EPOS terminals were presented on the Microsoft stand at the 2015 NRF (National Retail Federation) Retail's Big Show in New York.
