Seit dem 1. Januar 2019 gilt das Gesetz zur Stärkung der Chancen für Quali­fizierung und für mehr Schutz in der Arbeitslosenversicherung. Beschäftigte erhalten grundsätzlich Zugang zur Weiterbildungsförderung auch unabhängig von Qualifikation, Lebensalter und Betriebsgröße, wenn sie als Folge des digitalen Strukturwandels Weiterbildungsbedarf haben oder in sonstiger Weise von Strukturwandel betroffen sind.
