Convention on Digital Opportunities Aachen

Angesichts von Klimawandel, Umweltverschmutzung, sozialen Ungleichheiten sowie Ressourcenknappheit müssen Unternehmen ihre Verantwortung zum nachhaltigen Handeln jetzt wahrnehmen. Die Politik schafft mit dem EU-Klimaschutzpaket sowie den damit verbundenen Zielen der Bundesregierung den Rahmen. Unternehmen sind gefordert, Nachhaltigkeit als strategisches Ziel zu integrieren, klare Ziele zu setzen und innovative Lösungen zu identifizieren. Hier gewinnt die wertsteigernde Kreislaufwirtschaft (Circular Economy) für die Industrie zunehmend an Bedeutung. Ziel ist es, Materialien und Produkte so lange wie möglich einzusetzen, indem sie geteilt, wiederverwendet, repariert, aufgearbeitet und recycelt werden. Verlängerte Produktlebenszyklen sowie eine effiziente Nutzung von Materialien ermöglichen es Unternehmen, den Umweltschutz zu fördern, Ressourcenknappheit zu bewältigen, Innovationen voranzutreiben und ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu steigern.
