Die Sozialverwaltung benötigt zahlreiche Informationen, um über Ansprüche auf Leistungen entscheiden zu können. Hierzu gehören beispielweise Informationen zur wirtschaftlichen Situation des Antragstellers, zu seinem Gesundheitszustand, zu seinen familiären Verhältnissen etc. Solche Sozialdaten sind besonders sensibel und schutzbedürftig. Deshalb garantiert der Gesetzgeber den Bürgern das Sozialgeheimnis. Das Seminar gibt einen systematischen Überblick über die Regeln zum Sozialdatenschutz.
