KI wird in Zukunft eine stärkere Rolle für die Optimierung innerbetrieblicher Logistikprozesse spielen. Beispiele wie Lagerautomatisierung, dynamische Routenoptimierung, Prognose von Kundenverhalten sowie Anwendungen in der Qualitätssicherung und Predictive Maintenance verdeutlichen die Effizienz- und Nachhaltigkeitspotenziale.

Neben vielen Chancen müssen aber Risiken wie hohe Einführungskosten, technische Herausforderungen und der Bedarf an Datensicherheit beleuchtet werden. Am Ende wird erst die Kombination von Mensch und KI das volle Potenzial für die Intralogistik entfalten können.
