Um mit den Gummiherstellern konstruktiv und produktorientiert diskutieren und Bauteile mit bester Performance entwickeln zu können, sollen die Teilnehmer die notwendigen Grundlagen und Kompetenzen erwerben und Zusammenhänge kennenlernen, zum Beispiel:

der Werkstoff Gummi in voller Breite, Verständnis und Sensibilisierung für seine Besonderheiten
anwendungsgerechte Werkstoffauswahl und -prüfung auch mit innovativen Methoden auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik
Neuentwicklungen bei Gummiverbundteilen
Verbesserung der Bauteileigenschaften durch Oberflächenmodifizierung
grundlegendes Verständnis von Schadensmechanismen
Auslegung von Elastomerbauteilen und Konstruktionsregeln
Einflussparameter für die Funktion und Lebensdauer eines Bauteils

Um die Theorie noch besser zu verstehen, werden einige Kapitel durch kurze Videos unterstützt.
