Das Führen vor Ort („am Ort der Wertschöpfung“) ist Dreh- und Angelpunkt. Der Austausch zwischen Führungskraft und Mitarbeiter gehört zum „Fundament“ einer funktionierenden, nachhaltigen und transparenten Arbeitsumgebung. Mitarbeiter werden auf diesem Wege aktiv in den Steuerungsprozess und die tägliche Problemlösung mit einbezogen. Durch diese Befähigung entwickeln sich die Mitarbeiter vom passiven Problemmelder zum aktiven Problemlöser/-bearbeiter. Basis bilden hier eindeutige transparente, standardisierte Ziel- und Ergebnisdaten.
