Kunden erwarten heute mehr Flexibilität und kleinere Losgrößen. Das bedeutet, dass mehr Rüstvorgänge notwendig sind, um die Fertigung zu flexibilisieren. Rüstvorgänge müssen optimiert werden, um möglichst wenig Kapazitäten zu binden – die Produktionsumgebung muss hierfür entsprechend vorbereitet werden.
