Das neue 3M Performance Additive iM30K ist die erste Mikro-Glashohlkugel im Sortiment der 3M Glass Bubbles, die das Compoundieren, Spritzgießen und Extrudieren von Thermoplasten in der Kunststoff-Industrie schadlos übersteht.

Mit einem Durchmesser von nur 17µm (D50) ist das Produkt aus nicht wasserlöslichem, chemisch stabilem und alkaliarmem Borsilikatglas nur halb so groß wie bekannte Hilfsmittel dieser Art, zugleich aber um 40 Prozent stärker. Seine isostatische Druckfestigkeit liegt bei 2.000 bar (200 MPa).
