Mit 154 internationalen Kongressen im Jahr 2010 belegt Wien Platz 1 der weltweit wichtigsten Kongressstandorte. Dies ist das Ergebnis der aktuell veröffentlichten Jahresstatistik der International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), der internationalen Dachorganisation der Kongressbranche. Wien hält diese Spitzenposition im sechsten Jahr in Folge. Auf den weiteren Plätzen folgen Barcelona (148 Kongresse), Paris (147), Berlin (138) und Singapur (136).

In die ICCA-Statistik werden nur Veranstaltungen aufgenommen, die regelmäßig stattfinden und zwischen mindestens drei Ländern rotieren. Für das aktuelle Ranking wurden weltweit 9.120 Veranstaltungen ermittelt, 826 mehr kit ne Kkiphnj.
