Die Mehrheit der Autofahrer achtet zu wenig auf den Luftdruck ihrer Reifen. Das zeigt eine Umfrage des Autozubehör-Anbieters Heyner unter 1037 Pkw-Besitzern in Deutschland. Demnach messen 54 Prozent der Teilnehmer den Reifendruck nur viermal pro Jahr oder seltener. Vier Prozent der Autofahrer prüfen nur einmal im Jahr und ebenfalls vier Prozent überhaupt nicht. Männer sind sicherheitsbewusster als Frauen: Rund ein Viertel von Ihnen kontrolliert den Reifendruck alle 4 Wochen, während es bei den weiblichen Autofahrern lediglich 12 Prozent tun. Über 60 Prozent der Frauen prüfen den Reifendruck seltener als alle 3 Monate, bei den Männern sind es 45 Prozent.
