International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Stahlwerk Ergste Westig GmbH, a subsidiary of the Zapp Group, to supply a 20-roll precision rolling mill for a new stainless steel works in Unna, Germany. Start-up is scheduled for beginning of 2013.
The rolling mill in 4-column design supplied by ANDRITZ Sundwig is dimensioned to roll extra thin stainless steel strip to a finished thickness of 0.02-0.5 mm and a width of up to 750 mm. The rolling speed is 600 m/min.
