AOL belegt laut aktueller Zahlen der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online Forschung (AGOF/if 2006 III) den Spitzenplatz bei der Nutzung von Musik-Inhalten und Games. Pro Monat besuchen 1,76 Millionen Menschen Angebote aus dem Musik-Portfolio von AOL. Auf dem Spiele-Bereich tummeln sich wöchentlich 410.000 Unique User. Damit rangiert AOL vor T-Online, Seven One Interactive, RTL oder Yahoo. Patrick Woelke, Leiter Programming bei AOL: "Die optimale Vernetzung der einzelnen Angebote von Musik-Downloads über Video, Radio, Games-Download und Hintergrundinformationen machen diese Bereiche so attraktiv. Das führt zu einer hohen Verweildauer und überdurchschnittlicher Nutzung."
