Dass eine Steigerung der Energieeffizienz für europäische Architekten heute ein wichtiges Thema ist, dürfte allgemein bekannt sein. Dieselben Architekten gehen darin nach eigener Aussage aber noch einen Schritt weiter. Marktforschung von Arch-Vision (www.arch-vision.eu) zeigt, dass europäische Architekten eine kritischere Einstellung gegenüber Materialien entwickelt haben, deren Herstellung und Transport einen hohen Energieverbrauch verursacht. Dadurch wird also auch ihre Markenwahl zunehmend beeinflusst.

Vor allem in Frankreich (81 Prozent), Italien (73 Prozent), Deutschland (71 Prozent) und den Niederlanden (70 Prozent) bejahten Architekten, dass sie eine kritischere Einstellung gegenüber Baumaterialien entwickelt haben, die während Transport und Herstellung viel Energie verbrauchen.
