Today Balda has sold Balda-Heinze GmbH & Co. KG and HeRo Galvanotechnik GmbH both domiciled in Herford (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Sächsische Metall- und Kunststoffveredelungs GmbH (SMK) in Oberlungwitz (Saxony). The respective disposals have already been announced last year. Vendee is Hanse Industriekapital-Beteiligungs-GmbH (HanseIK) domiciled in Hamburg. According to plan all 408 employees will retain their jobs.

Balda-Heinze offers coated premium plastic components, HeRo and SMK specialise on galvanic finishing. As of today all three sites are predominantly producing for the automotive industry. HanseIK is well placed in the sector through its Consulting Company ITM Consulting Group Inc. & Co.
