Balda hat heute die Balda-Heinze GmbH & Co. KG und die HeRo Galvanotechnik GmbH, beide mit Sitz in Herford (Nordrhein-Westfalen), sowie die Sächsische Metall- und Kunststoffveredelungs GmbH (SMK) in Oberlungwitz (Sachsen) veräußert. Die Verkäufe wurden bereits im vergangenen Jahr angekündigt. Käufer ist die Hanse Industriekapital-Beteiligungs-GmbH (HanseIK) mit Sitz in Hamburg. Alle 408 Mitarbeiter sollen weiter beschäftigt werden.

Balda-Heinze ist ein Anbieter hochwertiger lackierter Kunststoffteile, HeRo und SMK sind auf die galvanische Veredelung spezialisiert. Die drei Werke produzieren derzeit überwiegend für die Automobilindustrie. HanseIK ist über ihre Beratungsgesellschaft ITM Consulting Group Inc. & Co.
