NAMUR as a user association of automation in the process industry has many member companies, which have production sites and service activities in China. Therefore it was a logical step that NAMUR decided to hold a conference in Shanghai in November 2009 under the headline "NAMUR comes to China". The conference turned out to be very successful and there were 88 registered participants from 19 member companies.

Apart from exchanging experiences and ideas, one of the main objectives of the conference was the definition of topics with considerable importance for the companies.
