Der durchschnittliche Siliziumverbrauch für die Herstellung multi- und monokristalliner Solarzellen wird von 4,8 Gramm pro Watt (g/W) im vergangenen Jahr um 25 % auf 3,6 g/W im Jahr 2020 sinken. Dies ist das Ergebnis eines neuen Szenarios, das die Polysilizium-Marktforschungsfirma Bernreuter Research entwickelt hat. “Neben dem wachsenden Marktanteil monokristalliner Zellen mit ihren höheren Wirkungsgraden wird vor allem die rasche Verbreitung von Diamantdrahtsägen den spezifischen Siliziumverbrauch pro Watt erheblich nach unten treiben“, sagt Johannes Bernreuter, Chef von Bernreuter Research und Autor des Polysilicon Market Outlook 2020.
