Die Bio-Gate AG (ISIN DE000BGAG999), Anbieter innovativer Lösungen für antimikrobielle Materialien, wird eine Meilensteinzahlung von einem global tätigen Medizintechnikhersteller erhalten. Die Zahlung in niedrig sechsstelligem Volumen wird zum geplanten Umsatzanstieg im zweiten Halbjahr beitragen. Das Projekt umfasst die Entwicklung einer antimikrobiellen Beschichtung für Orthopädie-Implantate. Als wichtiger Zwischenschritt wurden erste präklinische Studien erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Nun startet eine erste ausführliche Studie, mit der wichtige Daten für das Zulassungsverfahren erhoben werden. Sofern die weiteren Studien und Zulassungsschritte erfolgreich verlaufen, ist die Markteinführung der ersten antimikrobiell beschichteten orthopädischen Implantate für Ende 2008 geplant. Der Entwicklungs- und Lizenzvertrag wurde Anfang 2006 vereinbart.
