Solarkatamaran MobiCat: Bilanz der Saison 2011

Der MobiCat, das weltweit grösste Solar-Passagierschiff und Markenzeichen der Bielersee-Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (BSG), feierte im Juli dieses Jahres seinen 10. Jahrestag. Im Jubiläumsjahr - die Saison dauerte von April bis Oktober 2011 - hat der MobiCat in 81 Fahrten 2112 Kilometer zurückgelegt. Damit ist die Transportleistung gegenüber dem Vorjahr konstant hoch geblieben. Der Solarkatamaran, erfreut sich auch nach 10 Dienstjahren noch immer grosser Beliebtheit bei den Passagieren.

Im Jahr 2011 transportierte der Solarkatamaran rund 4050 Passagiere. Die Solarpanels auf dem Dach des MobiCat erzeugten mit rund 5500 Kilowattstunden genügend Solarstrom für den Schiffsantrieb und die Navigation (2010: 5400 kWh).
