Schnappauf tritt Amt als BDI-Hauptgeschäftsführer an

Werner Schnappauf (54) tritt am Donnerstag in Berlin sein Amt als BDI-Hauptgeschäftsführer an. BDI-Präsidium und BDI-Vorstand haben den ehemaligen Bayerischen Staatsminister für Umwelt, Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz im September einstimmig berufen. Der promovierte Jurist war neun Jahre Landrat im Landkreis Kronach, bevor er 1998 in die Bayerische Staatsregierung wechselte. Mit Schnappauf setzt der BDI auf einen erfahrenen Politiker in dem Spitzenamt. "Deutschland braucht den Brückenschlag zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft. Mit Werner Schnappauf will der BDI dazu beitragen, das gegenseitige Verständnis von Politik und Wirtschaft zu vertiefen", erklärte BDI-Präsident Jürgen R. Thumann. Weitere Mitglieder der BDI-Hauptgeschäftsführung sind Klaus Bräunig und Carsten Kreklau.
