Stromanbieter genehmigen sich kräftigen Preisnachschlag

Ökostrom-Umlage wird Deckmantel für übermäßig hohe Strompreise

Verbraucher müssen beim Strom künftig tiefer in die Tasche greifen. 144 Stromanbieter erhöhen ihre Strompreise zum 1. Januar 2011 um bis zu 14,4 Prozent. Weitere 35 Versorger wollen nachziehen. Die Anbieter begründen den Preisanstieg vor allem mit Zusatzkosten durch die höhere EEG-Umlage. Sie finanziert die Subventionen für Ökostrom und muss von allen Verbrauchern gezahlt werden. Durch schnittlich wü rden Preise rhöhungen um 7,5 Prozent zum Kompensie ren der höheren EEG-Umlage ausreichen. Doch 64 Stromanbieter kassieren mehr. Sie nutzen die Gelegenheit und heben ihre Preise weitaus höher als notwendig an.
