Energie-Abnehmerverband: Keine Begründung für Teuerung von bis zu 8,5 Prozent / Schwierige Zeiten für deutsche Wirtschaft

Der Bundesverband der Energie-Abnehmer e. V. (VEA) kritisiert die nächste Teuerungswelle auf dem Strommarkt scharf. Traditionell zum Jahreswechsel ziehen die Energieanbieter die Preisschraube ihrer Tarife an.Mehr als 100 Regionalversorger haben eine Anhebung der Preise um 5 bis 8,5 Prozent für Januar 2009 angekündigt, weitere werden in den folgenden Monaten nachziehen.Ausschlaggebend seien nach Angaben der Energieunternehmen die gestiegenen Beschaffungskosten.

"Die Strompreise klettern Anfang 2009 auf einen neuen Höchststand", erklärt Manfred Panitz, Vorstandsmitglied des VEA. "Aber warum? Auf der Erzeugerseite gibt es keinen nachvollziebaren Grund, die Kosten für Strom höher anzusetzen."
