“CAN FD light”-Demonstrator

Die internationale Anwender- und Herstellervereinigung CAN in Automation (CiA) demonstriert auf seinem Embedded-World-Messestand (Halle 1, Stand 203) in Nürnberg CAN-FD-light-Netzwerke. „CAN FD light“ ist eine in ISO 11898-1:2024 genormte Datenverbindungsschicht. Sie basiert auf dem „Commander/Responder“-Prinzip: Der Commander-Knoten hat immer die Kommunikationsinitiative; die Responder-Knoten senden nur Rahmentelegramme, wenn sie dazu aufgefordert werden. Eine bei CAN übliche Busarbitrierung ist nicht erforderlich. Deshalb benötigt man keine Zusatzhardware für Taktgeber. CAN-FD-light wurde ursprünglich für preiskritische Anwendungen wie Fahrzeugrückleuchten mit vielen LEDs entwickelt. CAN-FD-light-Netzwerke eignen sich prinzipiell für alle Anwendungen mit einer hohen Anzahl von Aktuatoren oder Sensoren, bei denen ein Teilnehmer alle Daten einsammelt
