Cognitec Announces Extended Version of Its Facial Database Search Product Including New Examiner Tool for Law Enforcement Customers

Cognitec Systems today announced the release of an extended version of its product FaceVACS®-DBScan. The new version includes the latest B5 face recognition engine that represents a further enhanced and optimized version of the algorithm used during the recent NIST evaluation MBE-STILL. Also included is a new user interface for law enforcement customers called FaceVACS-Examiner.

FaceVACS-DBScan assists people in finding images in large databases by comprehensive facial image analysis. Human inspectors rely on FaceVACS-DBScan to examine non-similar identities automatically, while controlling thresholds and match list sizes.
