Cognitec Systems joins a consortium of companies led by secunet Security Networks and Bundesdruckerei to commence work on the EasyPASS project, following a recent contract award by the German Border Police.
The EasyPASS project will equip passport control areas at all major German airports with electronic gates (eGates), and provide travelers with electronic passports (ePassports) the option to pass through fast, automatic passport checks.
